As the world evolved into a global economy, ASC developed the first fully integrated
Containerized Freight Tracking solution for both imports and export of consumer
goods. This was designed for furniture manufacturers, or any other consumer goods
items including serialized items such as air conditioners, electronics, etc. In
addition, our solution is used for food-grade tracking such as shrimp importers,
animal feed exporters, etc. This system was fully integrated into our WMS system
to verify inventory being loaded onto oceangoing freight containers, and then fully
connected to the financial back office system to account for "on the water" payments.
It handles all statuses of the container, landed costing if needed, and accounts
for all specific inventory in the containers. Again, both import and export directions
are handled as well as "direct" shipments to recipients or for goods to be received
and further distributed. And for port pickups, mobile devices are supported for
selection of the "optimum container" to pick up at the port if you need it for pending
priority orders.
